Meet Archie, your new best friend!

Archie is up for any adventure big or small. While in foster care he has enjoyed running errands, whether it’s shot gun or back seat, he travels easy. He’s always up for a walk around the block or a longer hike through the woods or trail. Archie loves to meet new human and dog friends alike. He is a regular at the Thursday farmers market, watching soccer games from the side lines, enjoying festivals and dog friendly patios while his humans enjoy a bite to eat or a cocktail.

Archie’s likes include:

Snuggling with anyone and everyone

Treats, bones & heavy chew toys

Sunbathing, this boy enjoys his outside time

DOGS, he hasn’t met one yet he hasn’t liked

House broken & kennel trained.

Minimal exposure to cats (outdoor only) he’s interested but does not chase or bark.

Has done well with children.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
