Our little FHO surgery dog from PCAS is finally ready for adoption ❤️
🐾 Meet Copper (aka “Tiny Dog”) 💛
14 lbs | 1–2 years old | Neutered, Microchipped, Vaccinated
Copper—affectionately called Tiny Dog by his foster family—is a gentle, soulful little boy who’s survived more than his share of hardship. Found as a stray and likely mistreated, he’s slowly learning that love, safety, and belly rubs are forever things.
✨ About Copper:
• Potty trained if let out regularly
• Great in the car — loves car rides and feeling the breeze
• Adores kids and thrives in a calm, gentle home
• Preferably needs another small, friendly dog for companionship and play
• Enjoys toys and soft dog beds but prefers to snuggle on the couch or your lap
• Velcro dog — follows his human everywhere and just wants to be close
• Likes to sunbathe on the lanai or nap near his person
• Loves to be carried and cuddled
• Sleeps quietly in a crate but would love to share your bed too
• Startles at loud noises and needs a gentle home with patience
• Still puppyish — may chew a little, but never maliciously
• Chases squirrels with passion but is otherwise calm and easygoing
• Still favoring one leg post-surgery, but improving every day with rest and love
💛 What He Needs:
Copper’s forever family should be home most of the day. He’s happiest when he’s near his people and another small dog friend. He’s still nervous around loud noises and men at first, but with kindness and patience, he warms up beautifully. If he thinks someone might yell or raise a hand, he’ll cower—but a gentle voice and soft touch melt his worries away.
And yes—he has the most heart-melting “sad puppy eyes” you’ll ever see. They tell the story of a little soul who just wants to be loved and safe forever. 🥹
