My name is Toro!

Hi! I'm Toro, a 3-year-old, 13 pound Terrier mix looking for my happily ever after. I came into rescue due to my owner having 4 children and it was too much for me. I am crate trained and working on house training, it is more of marking territory than having to potty, but consistency has helped me.  I walk good on a leash, love to go on car rides, and love other dogs, my size.  My foster mom says working with a trainer would be a good idea to boost my confidence as I was well socialized, and the big world can scary. I am learning how to relax and not be scared of new things so a patient family is what I need.  I do need a fenced yard, since a harness and leash being applied by strangers is a bit much for me, and a home with no children. I like to hang out with my people and sleep on the couch next to you or on your lap.  I do take a little to trust, so I need space and patience from my new family.  I haven't learned about thresholds yet, so making sure I can'tget out doors is important.  I do love toys like balls and anything rubber.  Will you be my new family so we can snuggle and play the days away!?!
