If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Kila joined our home almost one year ago after we rescued her from a local shelter. We think she’s 7 years old, although we have limited information about her life before she joined us.
Kila is one of the sweetest—she loves people and does well with other non-aggressive dogs. She’s very gentle and interested in children, but we’re unsure if she’s lived with any kids or cats before. She’s never had an accident in the house, quietly sleeps through the night, is never destructive, and doesn't bark.
Kila does suffer from anxiety, which manifests as shaking and retreating to her safe space. Noises and being left home alone are really tough for her. She’s taking anti-anxiety meds that help, but she would be happiest if she could be with people all the time. Right now she goes to dog daycare two days each week when we can’t be home, and she LOVES it.
Looking for a calm, quiet forever home with someone prepared to take on a 24/7 buddy who needs a little extra love & care.
