My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: King

*Age: 8 years

*Current Weight: 56lbs

*Rescued from: New York City, fostered in CT

*Adoption fee: $300

Sweet King recently found himself out of time at an overcrowded shelter in the city with his hope just about to run out. After spending 8 years living with a family, one day they decided they could no longer care for him, due to no fault of his own, and surrendered him to the Animal Care Centers of NYC. Heartbroken and confused, King's world was turned upside down.

While in the care of the ACC, because he was so friendly, King was a "greeter" dog, helping to test the constant influx of new dogs coming in to see if he's friendly. As his time counted down day by day, he won over all the staff and volunteers who described him as their favorite, a real peace, who is sweet, wiggly, friendly and happy.

Unfortunately he had been surrended with a skin condition that needed treatment. But between his age and his need of medical care, he landed himself on the euthanasia list. This poor boy didn't deserve what was about to happen, so SNARR decided to take him in and give him the second chance he deserved.

Now safe in a loving foster home, King is able to recouperate and get the proper medical care and attention that he needed.

In just a matter of weeks, King has started his healing process. He bonds with people easily and is always happy to be in their company. He's a fantastic companion dog, so loving and just the most amazing cuddler. He finds comfort laying next to or on you, a typical pittie, he doesn't believe in personal space and prefers to be touching.

King enjoys going for walks (he walks wonderfully on the leash) and is eager to make new friends when exploring the neighborhood. King gets along amazingly with everyone he meets -- dogs, cats, adults and young kids. He's gentle and sweet with a big block head, and an even bigger heart. He listens well and is eager to please.

King is truly a good boy who deserves to know the comfort of a home to call his own. Are you the forever family King has been patiently waiting for?
