Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baxter is a well-mannered, affectionate dog who appears to have lived in a home previously. He is house trained, knows basic commands such as sit and paw, and has excellent social skills with other dogs—he even tolerates energetic puppies with patience. He is cat-friendly, typically choosing to ignore them.
Baxter enjoys car rides and walks, though he may pull when excited. He prefers to be near his people and shows some separation anxiety, but he settles when left alone. He is crate trained, though he can be vocal and may chew when anxious. Baxter would thrive in a home where he can be included in daily activities and surrounded by love.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on `Foster Questionnaire.`
Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We`ll see you soon at either location!
