Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Colby, the three-legged ginger with a big heart!
Colby may only have three legs, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! Before coming to The Cat Corner, this handsome young boy was hit by a car, resulting in the amputation of his right front leg, but Colby has bounced back with incredible strength and spirit! He can be a little shy when you first meet him, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet personality to shine through. Once he warms up, he’ll roll over your feet asking for pets and maybe give a tiny (gentle!) nibble when he’s ready for a break. He’s also a total chatter bug who loves story time with his favorite humans.
Colby enjoys playing red light games, string toys, and with catnip kickers, but he’s also a laid-back guy who’s happiest lounging in a cozy chair or cat bed often with his lifelong best friend, Jack. These two have been together their whole lives and share a special bond, so they’re looking for a forever home together.
Colby’s not big on wet food, but he loves his water, especially from a running fountain!
If you’re looking for a loving pair of cats to fill your home with companionship, conversation, and cuddles, Colby and Jack would love to meet you!
Location: Temporary foster home. For an appointment for a meet & greet, please 1) fill out an online adoption application first and 2) email: adopt@thecatcornerinc.com to request an appointment.
More Adoption details: An important part of the process is to match the life-style and needs of the adopter with the individual animal being adopted. Once you have fallen in love with your purrfect match, you will need to complete an adoption application. We have the online adoption application, or you may fill out a paper application in person at The Cat Corner location. We do not do "same-day adoptions". Here is more about our adoption process and a link to fill out our online adoption application: www.thecatcornerinc.com/adoption-process.Adoption Package The list below includes all of the basic services that each of our cats receives:
Spay/Neuter surgery Feline Leukemia/FIV combo test (cats) Heartworm test (dogs) Microchip with free lifetime registration Rabies vaccination FVRCP (Feline distemper) vaccination Bordetella vaccination (dogs) De-worming treatments Flea treatment Full senior blood panel (8+ years of age) Starter food Behavioral assessment A continuing resource to answer any of your questions or concerns Our adoption fee helps to offset the services that we provide for your newest furry addition. It also acts as a donation to help support our organization as a whole, allowing us to continue our efforts to rescue and re-home cats in need of our help.
Applying to Adopt Once you and your family have spent time with the cats in the adoption room and are ready to adopt, please visit the adoption section of our website: www.thecatcornerinc.com/adopt Our adoption process page will provide you with all of the information you need to know about adopting through our organization, including what to expect, what information we will require from you, and finding your purrfect match.
Thank You For Choosing to Adopt!! As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.
About The Cat Corner The Cat Corner, Inc. is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that does not receive any federal, state or local government funding. We depend solely from the generosity of caring individuals from our community to continue to do our work.
