Roxie Roo is a 6-month-old black female at 39 lbs. She has a heart as big as her beautiful brown eyes. She was found by a good Samaritan and brought into our rescue. She's a total lovebug and a true "Velcro dog" she wants to be by your side no matter what you're doing! Whether you're working at your desk or relaxing at home, Roxie Roo is happiest when she's near her people.
She loves to play, especially with her favorite rope toys, and she gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She will run after a ball, but has not learned the return part of the game fetch yet. Roxie Roo is a smart girl who already knows how to sit and lie down on command. She is learning to walk nicely on a leash. She's house-trained and sleeps soundly through the night, either in her crate or (her preference!) on a cozy dog bed near her foster mom. She enjoys going out for walks, but with minimal exercise, she is calm and happy to lie down at your feet.
With her gentle nature and food motivation, Roxie Roo will be easy to train and eager to please her forever family. She does have a bit of separation anxiety, so she'll do best in a home where someone is around most of the time or with a family willing to help her build confidence through training and routine. She is also timid initially and is a bit afraid of loud noises. She warms up quickly. .
