URGENT FOSTER NEEDED Barkley is a handsome black lab mix with a calm, loyal nature and a heart full of quiet devotion. Found abandoned in a park as a puppy, he’s grown into a confident, easygoing dog who loves being part of a home — he just doesn’t need to be in your lap to show it. Barkley isn’t the snuggly type — he’s more of a “near you” kind of guy. He’s happiest lying nearby while you work, cook, or relax, keeping a watchful eye on things. He’s deeply bonded to his person and naturally protective, always wanting to make sure you’re safe and comfortable. He shows his love through loyalty and presence rather than cuddles. He enjoys long walks, chasing squirrels, and playing with his dog buddies Maverick and Rolo. He’s house-trained, smart, and well-mannered in the home. Barkley would do best in a calm, loving environment with someone who appreciates a loyal companion that gives space but stays close.
