My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Laia — a 1.5-year-old, 49 lb Lab mix with a heart full of love and paws ready to play!

Quick Facts:
Name: Laia

Breed: Labrador/Beagle Mix
Age: 1.5 years old
Weight: 49 lbs
House-Trained: Working on it!
Crate-Trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes (older kids who don’t mind her “jumping”)
Energy Level: Medium to High
Fence Required: Yes

About Laia’s Breed:
The Lab/Hound mix is a friendly, energetic crossbreed that combines the loyalty of a Labrador Retriever with the keen instincts of a hound. These dogs often inherit a strong investigative drive, high intelligence, and a love for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring. Depending on the hound parent—Lab/Hound mixes can vary in size, appearance, and temperament, but they typically weigh between 45–80 pounds and live 10–13 years. They thrive in active homes with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, and they’re known for being affectionate, social, and eager to please.

Laia is a social butterfly who absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive with a canine sibling to romp and snuggle with. She’s also cat-friendly and loves being around people—especially if they’re up for a cuddle session or a game of tug with her favorite chew toys! With her bouncy energy and playful spirit, Laia is happiest in a home with a fenced yard or an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park.

Laia’s Lovable Highlights:

  • Dog-obsessed, and great with cats too
  • Playful and energetic, loves chew toys and zoomies
  • Best with adults or older kids, as she can be jumpy when excited
  • Crate trained, but prefers not to be left alone too long
  • Working on potty training, and learning not to jump
  • Walks well on leash, insists on the right side
  • Knows basic commands, like “sit” and “come”
  • Snuggly and sweet, loves being close to her people
  • Sensitive to boundaries, working on confidence with doorways
  • Destroys fluffy toys, but adores hard chew bones

Laia is looking for a loving, patient home where she can continue to grow and thrive. She’d be perfect for someone who works from home or is retired, has a fenced yard, and is ready to give her the attention and companionship she craves.

If you’re ready for a loyal, lively, and lovable sidekick, Laia is ready to leap into your life and heart!
