My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M CLYDE, and if you're looking for a big, loyal friend, that's me. I am a studly 4-year-old brindle Pit Bull Terrier with a huge head in need of a home. Despite my imposing look, I am a sweetheart in disguise once I'm in your inner circle. I especially love men - and I bond quickly and intensely to my person. I'd make a great, loyal companion. I'd do great with a single guy experienced with pits who wants to bond. Despite my look, I am very timid around other dogs. So what's my story? Well, I was dumped by my people -- and taken in by a rescue group so I wouldn't end up in the shelter system. I really would love a home where I'm loved and cherished and given all the affection I deserve. I will reward you 100-fold! I need an experienced owner only because I'm shy in the beginning, and I bond so strongly with my person. I also need a foster home if you aren't ready to adopt. Can you foster or adopt me? I weigh about 70 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon at no extra charge.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
