My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sanna and Kuma, an inseparable duo of Siberian Husky x Malamute mixes who are ready to find their forever home - together.

These two have spent their whole lives side by side and share a deep bond that's truly heartwarming. Wherever Kuma goes, Sanna follows, and they find comfort and joy in each other's company.

💙 Kuma is the social butterfly of the pair. Friendly, outgoing, and always ready to make a new friend (human or canine), he's the first to greet you with a wagging tail and playful energy.

💜 Sanna is the more reserved of the two. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her gentle, loyal nature shines through. She leans on Kuma for confidence, and with him by her side, she blossoms.

Both dogs are:

Not good with cats

House-trained

Spayed/neutered

Used to living indoors

working on leash manners and love outdoor adventures

They'd thrive best in a home with a secure yard, an active lifestyle, and people who understand northern breeds. If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and stunning pair to share your life with, Sanna and Kuma are waiting to meet you.

Double the fluff, double the love. Could you be the perfect match for this devoted pair? Please fill out an online application or stop by the shelter during open hours!

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort
