🎄 Meet Rico — Hoping to Be Home for the Holidays! ❤️💚

This scruffy little gentleman is Rico, a 2-year-old, 11.8-lb Shih Tzu mix who’s full of spunk, sweetness, and Christmas cheer! 🎅✨ He’s new to FairyTails, and it didn’t take long for our staff to fall head-over-heels for him.

Rico’s personality is the perfect blend of cuddly, playful, and merry, and he’s quickly learning his potty-training manners. With his soft scruffy fur and bright hopeful eyes, this little guy would look absolutely adorable curled up under your Christmas tree—and he may even try to help you unwrap a present or two. 🎁🐾

He’d do wonderfully in a loving home ready to share their heart and holiday magic. Because he’s a spunky little elf, a fenced yard is required, and he’d do best in a home without small children.

🎁 All rescues at FairyTails arrive fully ready to join your family!
Our pets come to you dewormed, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dental exam, heartworm tested, flea/tick & heartworm monthly preventative, microchipped, vaccinated, bathed, and professionally groomed.

They are housed either in loving foster homes or in cozy suites at our facility, complete with warm bedding, toys, food, water, and plenty of love while they wait for their forever homes.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Email fairytailspetadoptions@yahoo.com or submit an Adopt A Pet Inquiry for an application. An application will be emailed to you.

2.
Approve Application

FairyTails volunteers will review your application and provide a decision via email. An approval email will be sent to approved adopters.

3.
Meet the Pet

Many of our dogs are in foster homes. Approved adopters schedule an appointment to meet the pet.

4.
Take the Pet Home

If you meet the pet and they are a match, you can take the pet home the same day by signing the adoption contract and paying the fee. Yay!

Additional adoption info

Every application received will be reviewed by the adoption team. A decision will be sent via email. Only approved adopters may schedule appointments to meet our pets because many of them are in foster homes. Thanks for your interest in our rescue dogs!
