Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cinder is an ~8 year old black male chihuaha/hound mix (medium ~30-40 lb) who is very shy in kennel but allows for invasive physical exam. Walks nicely on leash, seems potty trained, non-reactive towards other dogs. He`s a love.
Cinder has a `pot-bellied` appearance and thin flaking fur on his dorsum and has a very high ALP value on bloodwork, suggestive of an underlying endocrine disorder (such as Cushing`s disease), though definitive labwork and diagnostic testing (including endocrine testing for thyroid and cortisol diseases) is needed for diagnosis and treatment.
Cinder is also being treated for mild CIRD (`kennel cough`) and after 7 days of antibiotic only has mild residual sneezing.
Seeking medical rescue willing to pursue endocrine testing and treatment if indicated.
