My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Acea is a beautiful happy girl who is looking for a new home. Acea is with our rescue partner in Louisiana. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters.

It's time for Ace to have a family of her own.  She has been living with a loving foster family for a few months and is thriving. Older dogs and black dogs often get overlooked- but anyone that who meets this sweetheart knows she's pure gold.

Acea is gently, loving, and absolutely adores kids (check out the photos).  She gets along with cats and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially the calmer types. She's been working hard on her training- learning tricks, getting comfy in her kennel and making real progress with food manners.

She's a creature of routine, happily trotting into her kennel each morning after potty time to let you know she is ready for breakfast. And her signature move? An ear- to ear smile that comes with joyful wiggles when she is excited.

All this girl needs is a soft couch and someone to love her like she deserves.

Acea is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $300.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
