My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daily life got you down? Everything feeling mediocre and lackluster? Sounds like you just need a little Inspiration! Although this shih tzu mix might look like a little disheveled (in fact, he vaguely resembles the burst of inspiration as depicted on a character sheet), he’s waiting to lead you in the right direction, even if not in the way you anticipated. Inspiration may not see or hear too well, but that’s okay! In fact, it’s better – he doesn’t have any mundanities distracting him from his wondrous imagination. Inspiration is a bit of a slowpoke (sometimes Inspiration doesn’t so much as strike as waddle leisurely), but that’s because he likes to stop and smell the roses. Do you need a little Inspiration in your life?

Here are some notes from his foster:

Inspiration is a sweet boy and has been a great houseguest. He gets along fine with other dogs and people/children. He is extremely food motivated! He also does okay being left alone. He enjoys a good Snooze. Loves going out for walks. He's house trained! All around he is happy being cozy and loved.

Additional adoption info

All of our senior mutts are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given flea/tick/dewormer medication. Regular adoptions are typically $250, and there is no adoption fee for senior adopters and Hospice adoptions, though we love donations to help pay it forward for the next mutt!

Go meet their pets

If you know who you're interested in, fill out our questionnaire at muttville.org/how_to_adopt and we'll arrange a meeting either at our HQ or virtually with your mutt's foster parent. (Many of our lucky mutts live in foster homes!)

If you're still browsing, stop by our extraordinary new home at 750 Florida St. during open hours Tuesday through Sunday 11am-4pm, or come to an adoption event and meet a lot of dogs at once!
