Socialization & Patience

Celeste is seeking a foster parent with experience in socializing fearful or under-socialized cats. She needs someone who understands the quiet magic of small steps—a gentle presence, patience, and the ability to celebrate tiny wins like a peek around the corner or taking a treat.

The Key: She needs a calm, predictable environment and a foster who is dedicated to consistent, positive interaction to help her blossom out of her shell.

To help her feel safe and manage her stress, Celeste is currently kept in her own space. Because she occasionally becomes nervous around other cats, which can cause her to bother them, she must be kept in a dedicated room or large enclosure separate from other household pets.

This is a temporary measure designed to help her focus solely on building her confidence and bond with her human.

We do contact landlords if potential adopter is renting and we also complete vet checks.
If your pet is NOT spayed or neutered, please explain why not.
Current pets must be up to date on core vaccines, rabies and dogs must be on heartworm preventative.

We do adoption events at the Huntersville, NC Petco and Hollywood Feed, Cornelius, NC 1 Saturday a month each.

More about this rescue

Started in 2011, Feline Network Rescue INC is a 501C3 charity originally located in Northern VA but relocated to the Greater Charlotte NC in 2019. Feline Network Rescue, has been monumentally instrumental in trap, neuter and return of ferals and has found homes for hundreds of cats over the years who were stray, abandoned or living on their own in the wild. The mission now continues in North Carolina.

Feline Network Rescue does NOT have a shelter, but utilizes foster homes of wonderful volunteers that dedicate their time and energy to provide a natural home setting to our rescued kitties...
We have NO paid staff, depend on donations and the generosity of our volunteers, friends and adopters to keep our program going strong.
Our success depends on not only the love for cat rescue and generosity of volunteers, but also the community who see the results of our work and realize that our passion to help homeless cats and kittens will "make a difference... one rescue at a time."
