If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I am looking for the right home for my sweet dachshund girl. She is 11 years old and has been with me for the last 3 years after being rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Oklahoma. She is spayed and previously had puppies before coming to me.
She is a true lap dog who loves to be close to her person. She enjoys sleeping in bed with you, snuggling during the day, squeaky toys, and going for walks. She’s wonderful on a leash and loves exploring.
She is housebroken, but she does need regular potty breaks, as she can have accidents if left too long. She has mild grass allergies that are easily managed with a medicated shampoo.
She would do best as the only dog, as she can be a little bossy with other dogs. She is okay with cats. Her ideal home is with someone who is home often and wants a cuddly, loyal senior companion.
