Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nano — the Dog Who’s Waited a Whole Year for Her Forever Home!
November 1st will mark her one-year anniversary in rescue — that means she’s watched over 80 other dogs find their families while she’s still waiting, tail wagging and hopeful.
Nano is a 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who’s full of life and love. She’s friendly with dogs, cats, and people, and she adores being part of the action. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a game of fetch, or curling up beside you for snuggles, Nano is happiest just being near her humans. She’s a loyal shadow who loves attention and gives just as much affection back.
She checks all the boxes being housetrained, cat friendly, dog friendly, crate trained, and fully vetted!
Nano has a lot of energy and would do best with an active adopter or another playful dog in the home. She’d make a fantastic walking, running, or hiking partner! Because she’s strong and enthusiastic, she’s best suited for adults or families with older, sturdier kids.
This smart girl learns quickly and wants to please. She’s a survivor, too — a few months ago, two small mast cell tumors were removed from her back legs, and her biopsies came back clear. The tumors were fully removed with a low risk of recurrence. Nano’s health is great, and her spirit is unshakable.
She loves playing ball with her foster siblings and naps in her crate with the door open. She’s not a fan of having her tail or nails touched, but she’s made huge progress with patient handling.
Nano is an all-around amazing dog who has been overlooked for too long. She’s ready to bring endless joy, love, and laughter to the right home.
