My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come meet Barkley! 🧡

Barkley has been with us since 8/26/25 — patiently waiting for his turn to finally find his forever family.

Barkley was originally pulled from a shelter in Virginia where he was at risk of euthanasia — not because of anything he did wrong — but simply due to shelter overcrowding. We said yes, and he has been such a joy here.

Barkley is incredibly smart, knows many commands, and loves to show them off! He has a fun playful energy but is also a big time couch potato who loves snuggles and relaxing with his people.

Barkley would do best as the only pet in the home — he loves being the center of attention. He is fantastic with people, though due to his size and strength he may accidentally knock over very small children.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is on a first come first serve basis. If a family is the first to fill out an application and are a good match for the animal, then they will be the adopters. We do not hold animals as it is not fair for them, and if the person changes their mind they could have found a home in the meantime.

More about this shelter

Save All Dogs rescue offers a safe haven for unwanted, homeless, and abandoned dogs and cats that are in need of new loving forever homes.
All animals are examined and cared for by a licensed veterinarian after which these dogs are available for adoption.
Save All Dogs has found many homes for hundreds of dogs over the past several years since we began this program. Save All Dogs also supports the efforts of local shelters and rescue groups in the search to find homes for abandoned and homeless dogs.
