If the animal you are interested in is part of a bonded pair, please only submit an application if you are considering adopting both. Only homes within a driving distance of 45 minutes or less will be considered for kittens under 6 months of age.

Animals in Distress is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer, non-profit organization that has serviced the Mercer County area for more than 50 years. Established in 1969, we are one of the oldest rescue groups in the area. Our primary focus has been the rescue of abandoned, abused and neglected cats and kittens.
