Angel Baby was surrendered to us in November after her mom passed away and her dad was unable to care for her any longer. She has gotten along well with other dogs at the shelter, but has a history of resource guarding from other dogs in the home, meaning she will need to be the only dog. She is very cat friendly and has lived with cats her whole life. She also walks very well on leash!
Unfortunately, Angel Baby is nervous and overwhelmed in the shelter, and she shouldn’t have to spend her retirement in a kennel. Before entering our care, she did not go outside for potty breaks, walks, or yard time, and her story has really touched all of us at HHS. She still has a lot of life left in her and is sweet as can be, but she is desperate for a patient home where she can become the dog she’s meant to be.

Adoption fees range from $56-$86. This includes vaccines, flea/tick protection, health exam at local veterinary clinic, collar,leash, 50% discount on spay/neuter. Altering is done at the time of adoption, prior to the pet going home.
There is an application for adoption, a 24 hour hold and an adoption contract.

We are located in Williamsburg, VA. Our adoption center is open 6 days a week from 12 noon - 4:30 pm, and we are closed on Mondays for deep clean.
