My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Schmidt — yes, that Schmidt. The name alone tells you this guy is a total character. Schmidt is full of personality, charm, and enthusiasm for all things attention-related. Whether it’s belly rubs, ear scratches, or just someone admiring how handsome he is (and honestly, who wouldn’t?), Schmidt is all in. He`s a social butterfly with the soul of a gentlemen. Schmidt’s idea of a good time? Hanging out with his people, soaking up compliments, and leaning in for as many pets as you can possibly give. Basically, Schmidt is equal parts dapper and dopey — the perfect mix of sweet affection and silly charm. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will make you laugh, listen to your rants, and graciously accept all forms of attention, Schmidt is ready to move in and be your new favorite roommate.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs....great!! The first step is coming in and meeting the dog in person. If you have any small children or other dogs in the household we do recommend that you bring them in for an introduction. If you are interested we would have you complete an adoption application. We do not require fenced in yards. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated, and the adoption fee is $125 which also includes a current dog license for Lucas County. We do adopt out of state and to other counties, but the dog would need to leave our facility with a current license. We do hold adoption events and have reduced adoption fees for specials throughout the year. Please check out our FaceBook page for events.
