My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xena is a gorgeous adult tortoiseshell with a strong spirit and a heart that’s worth the wait. She’s looking for a calm, adult-only home with no other pets, where patience and understanding are the foundation.

Xena has shown some behavioral challenges in the past, and while these may or may not appear in a new environment, her future family must be committed to helping her succeed. She’ll need time to settle in and will need to start off in one cozy room with a few litter boxes and comfy hiding spots to help her feel secure. Scratching posts and enrichment will also make her feel right at home.

To make sure everyone gets off on the right paw, our behaviorist will provide a consultation for potential adopters as well as ongoing support after adoption. Xena may need several weeks of guidance, but with patience and consistency, she has the potential to truly shine. If you’re ready for a rewarding journey with a unique and beautiful cat, Xena might just be your perfect match!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue requires each potential adopter to fill out an application. We also ask our adopters to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee at the time of adoption. These requirements help us to ensure a positive outcome for everyone involved, including our pets, as well as to continue to help other needy pets. We will also do periodic follow-ups and offer help with any post-adoption issues that might arise.
