If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Iris is a beautiful toy Australian Shepherd who is 4 years old. She’s a petite girl at just 14 pounds, but her personality is full of love, smarts, and playfulness!
Iris is the best of both worlds — she’s energetic and playful, always up for a game of fetch (especially outdoors), but she also adores snuggling up for cuddles when playtime is over. She’s very people-oriented and loves attention, making her a wonderful companion.
Her skills & training:
1. Crate trained (she eats and sleeps in her crate)
2. Potty trained (she alerts at the back door when she needs to go)
3. Knows her commands: place, come, sit, stay, lay down, roll over, play dead
4. Graduated from a professional board & train program at 6 months old
5. Loves learning new tricks for fun!
Ideal Home:
Iris can get spooked around other dogs and would thrive as the only pet in a calm home. She’s also best suited for a family without small children so she can soak up all the love and attention herself.
