My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oregano, a 12-year-old tuxedo gentleman with a calm, confident vibe and a whole lot of charm. He came into Nuzzles & Co.’s care a little over 60 days ago, and for the last few weeks, he’s been in a foster home—where his personality has really had a chance to shine.

According to his foster, Oregano is social, adventurous, playful, talkative, and cuddly. He enjoys being part of the action, loves attention, and is always happy to remind you that canned food is a top-tier love language.

Oregano would love a home that appreciates a sweet senior who still has spark. He’s also refreshingly unbothered by dogs—his foster says he could care less about them.

Oregano does need daily medication, but otherwise he’s simply looking for what every cat deserves: a steady routine, a cozy place to nap, and a person who’s excited to give a senior cat the forever he’s been waiting for.

More about this rescue

Founded in 1990, Nuzzles and Co (formerly Friends of Animals Utah) was just a small group of animal lovers lobbying for a new shelter facility. Today, we are a full-fledged animal rescue and rehabilitation organization with an adoption center, dedicated staff and board of trustees, and a 15,000 sq. ft. facility that includes a full veterinary suite, indoor and outdoor training spaces, miles of hiking trails, and a community cat room with an attached "catio."
