My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Violet has a lot of personality. She is about 4-5 months old and has a pretty and unique coat almost like a possum. When she was a very tiny kitten, she would growl at the adult cats in the house, probably because when she lived outside, other adults were dangerous. But now, the adult cats are intimidated by her tiny self and stay out of her way. She gets along with other kittens, so if she can be adopted alongside her friendly foster brother Phineas or another kitten, she will get along with them really well.

Though she has boundaries with other cats, she is super personable and sweet with humans! Once she warms up to you she will purr and plop down next to you to cuddle. For highest quality of life, Violet will require access to outside to experience fresh air, grass and maybe even snow!

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $145. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. We each do what we can to help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
