My foster writes: McTwisp came to our home at the recommendation of the ACC foster team, and we are so grateful for that! Honestly, we have no idea how he hasn't been adopted yet; a bunny with this demeanor is rare (and he actually reminds us of a previous foster we had!). For the first 2 days, he was very shy and stayed mostly in his hidey. However, he gently took treats from us while in his safe space. From day 1, his litter box skills were impeccable! On the third day with us, he spent more and more time outside of the hidey, and engaged with us when we sat in his pen. He started booping our feet and legs, which was so cute! Within another day, we let him out of the pen and he was so happy! McTwisp really enjoys enrichment - digging activities, eating cardboard, running through a tunnel, chew toys, climbing on the couch, the snuffle mat for foraging, and more! He is food motivated, making bonding extra easy - also, he is super gentle when he takes food from us. He is a very clean boy and is too cute as he washes his little face and ears. His binkies and zoomies are just delightful to watch. He has even started climbing on the bed when he is hoping his human shows up for company. After 4 months in the shelter, we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly he settled in. We want him to find his perfect forever home (though we will continue to love fostering him)!
Meet McTwisp Surrendered due to an unmanageable number of rabbits-this dapper gentleman is ready to hop into your heart!
McTwisp may not carry a pocket watch like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, but he is a punctual little fellow when it comes to snack time. He's a handsome white bunny with a calm presence, a healthy frame, and the beginnings of a sweet, gentle personality. McTwisp was surrendered with several other rabbits after his previous home became overwhelmed with accidental litters, and now he's ready to start fresh in a place where he can finally settle down.
My Ideal Home McTwisp would do well in a peaceful home that lets him bloom at his own pace. He appreciates a safe, quiet space and gentle interactions. A home with adults or respectful older kids would suit him best, especially if they're patient and understanding of a bunny's unique needs.
Good with Kids? He's a bit reserved, so we recommend a home without very young children. Older kids who can be calm, quiet, and gentle will likely earn his trust over time.
Good with Other Pets? McTwisp hasn't lived with other pets, but may be a good candidate for bonding with another bunny after he's neutered. As always, any introductions should be slow and supervised.
Litter Box Trained? Not yet-but McTwisp is just the right age to learn. With a consistent setup and a clean space, neutering will help reinforce good litter habits. Primary Color: White Weight: 5.62 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks
