My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My fster writes: Chuckle has blossomed in our apartment. He is a complete lovebug. Loves to be loved. Now that he knows his foster parents, he loves to be pet, and we can tell that he yearns to be besties with our resident cat (she's still shy around him). He greets me in the morning with chirps and leaning in for pets. Chuckle is such a steady and sweet guy-incredibly observant and polite. He has his daily routine for breakfast, playing, getting pet, napping, dinner, more playtime and pets, and then bedtime.

My foster writes: Chuckle is pure sweetness. An absolute gentleman. He loves to play with wand toys, mouse toys, balls, and he even loves to rub his face all over a silvervine stick. In addition to being handsome (I don't know how he keeps his fur so lustrous and shiny without any brushing!), he is a calm and steady companion. When he was ready for me to pet him for the first time, he bowed his head a little and moved it closer to my hand as if to say "go on, you can pet me" and then he was purring away, enjoying the pets.

My foster writes:
Meet your calm and gentle friend, Chuckle! This shy, sweet boy prefers to live life at his own peaceful pace. He may not seek out much interaction, but you'll often find him nestled in the shadows, curled up in the corner of the sofa, or snoozing on the softest cushion in your home.
Chuckle is an independent spirit who would thrive in a patient, understanding household-one that's as laid-back and kind-hearted as he is. Over time, you'll begin to notice the quiet ways he shows his trust and affection. And one day, almost without realizing it, you'll see how deeply he cares for you too.
If you're looking for a quiet, thoughtful companion who brings calm to your life, Chuckle may just be the perfect match!

Chuckle may be a shy guy when you first meet him, but he has a zest for life which comes through in his playful and curious nature. Chuckle can be found perching on window sills, watching the world happen, chasing after his toy du jour, or napping close to his foster brother. There's a whole lot of love and laughter - or chuckles - waiting to be unlocked with this one.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Chuckle was in the cubby, and when approached from the main kennel with treats on the scratching tool, he hissed once and remained in place. He was alert and focused on the assessor, and when approached again with treats in the cubby, he sniffed the treats and then allowed gentle petting while remaining somewhat on guard. He gave some partial slow blinks after the door was shut.

Chuckle tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home.
