Hello! This is Dobby. He is a 1.5 year old Great Dane. We acquired him through a neighbor who was fostering for a rescue. He was 4 months old and timid due to his unstable beginnings but has since come a long ways! We have yet to have a negative experience with him meeting new dogs. Dog park setting is best as he gets very curious while on a leash and tends to want to run up to new ones. We don’t allow it as he is larger than most and don’t want to intimidate anyone.
As a military family, our up-rooting and busy schedule has made me turn to this route of rehoming. On top of my homeschooling, our recent move drastically downsized our living space and Dobby’s quality of life has diminished. I would love a more stable home for him as our constant moving exasperates his anxious tendencies. He would do amazing in a stable, loving home. Dobby is as sweet and cuddly as they come and lives up to the nickname “gentle giant”.
