My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sal has been in her foster home for 2 years! Please consider adopting this sweet, one-eyes, senior.

My foster writes: Sal is a very independent and determined cat. Full of energy and curiosity, she observes everything and comes up with very smart strategies to explore her surroundings in her own terms. Always up to taste new cat food, she'll keep her boundaries, but you'll keep a good mood all day long.

When I started fostering Sally (AKA Sal), she was very wary of humans and needed some time to learn to trust. Once she realized she was safe, she blossomed into the sweet girl she is today. Sally loves scratches on her head and upper body. of the people she trusts. She still needs more trust to be touched on the posterior back, tail or stomach. She loves food and good snacks. Very well trained on her potty. She is an intelligent and playful one-eyed cat. Her favorite activities are chasing their toys, balls, lasers and his foster brother dog leash. She is an artist walking between my legs when I am walking. She needs to learn and appreciate laps or be holding. She is near me, all the time that I am home but she looks companionable on her own terms. She is living with a resident female cat and a dog. She is a quick learner. She would do best with a family that is willing to provide her with daily enrichment activities to keep her from getting bored. Though she has made enormous progress since I got her.
Sally is still a bit sensitive so she will need an experienced adopter who can understand feline body language and knows to give her space when she is feeling afraid or overwhelmed.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with cats.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
