We are currently having issues with our adoption inquiry webform. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with an animal or multiple animals, please email us directly at info@animalhope.org or call us 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.
Meet Cutie Patootie 🐾💛 This tiny treasure weighs just 8.3 lbs and is about 1 year old—still a baby in many ways, with a heart full of sweetness and a gentle soul. He was found as a stray, and we’re so grateful he’s now safe and loved.
Cutie Patootie is looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel secure and cherished. He’s a sensitive little guy who gets overwhelmed easily, so a quieter environment would be ideal. Once he feels safe, his affectionate nature begins to shine through ✨
He does well around other small dogs and would likely thrive with a gentle canine companion to help him build confidence 🐶🤝
One of his quirks? He sometimes walks in little circles when he’s unsure or excited—it’s just part of his unique rhythm 🌀💖. Our vets have given him a clean bill of health and believe he’s perfectly adoptable. With love, gentle guidance, and a bit of distraction, he settles beautifully and enjoys cuddles and connection.
His adoption fee is $300, but we’re open to discussing that with the right match. What matters most is finding someone who sees the beauty in his tender spirit and is ready to help him blossom 🌸🏡
When you adopt from us, you can expect that every animal has received:
Spay/neuter surgery
Microchip placement
All core vaccinations
Blood and fecal testing and treatment as needed
Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
A complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoption
Please note: because we don’t observe our animals in home environments, we can’t guarantee they are housebroken. Adopters must be 21 or older and live within an hour of our facility.
If you think you could be the one to give Cutie Patootie the love and stability he deserves, we’d love to hear from you 💌

Our adoption fees for adult dogs start at $300, though could be higher based on adoption demand and medical costs. Our adoption fees for puppies start at $400, though could be higher based on adoption demand, and includes 4 veterinary visits to update vaccines and perform spay/neuter. Some dogs have higher adoption fees because of adoption interest
Our shelter mission focuses on medical and behavioral rehab cases, so our adoption fees never cover our costs.
We have an adoption application for dogs and cats and will check a vet reference as well as information regarding your home situation and pet compatibility.
Some adoptions will require a home visit.

More about this shelter
Animal Hope opened its doors as a standalone shelter on February 1, 2015.
Prior to that, Animal Hope operated as a small rescue at Animal Hospital Southwest. As the municipal veterinarian for the city of Fort Worth, Animal Hospital Southwest frequently pulled difficult cases that the city was not equipped to treat and rehabilitate due to budgetary and time constraints.
From this organization was born the Animal Hope shelter, a rescue focusing on rehabilitation and “second chance” adoptions.
