When Kira's person realized her beloved cat would soon be on her own in the world, she reached out to Camp Companion for help. We were so happy to tell her that we had found a foster to not only care for Kira, but also provide updates and photos to assure her Kira was adjusting.
From Kira's foster mom: I promised Kira's mom I would find her a home where she will continue to be a loved and treasured companion. Kira is beautiful inside and out. She was obviously adored and treated like a queen. She's quite chatty, has a schedule she will train you to follow and needs both attention and quiet time alone. Once she figures out where you keep the treats (in my case the 'Temptations drawer') she will be waiting there when you wake up and when you get home. She loves a soft cat bed to curl up in when she's not on a lap. It will take Kira a couple of weeks to adjust to a new home, but if allowed to move at her own pace she will soon be seeking you out and finding her way into your heart.
Kira is good with dogs and had a lab best friend in her home. She is tolerant of the cats in her foster home and would do fine with a calm, laid back feline friend or two. She is also good with children. Kira will need to be brushed on a regular basis to keep her coat soft and mat free. Like many of us, she's a bit too fond of goodies, so treats should be offered in moderation rather than on demand.

More about this rescue
Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.
Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
