Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Our Sweet Senior Gentleman — Grey/White, 11 Years Old 🐾
This precious soul came to us under heartbreaking circumstances. His original owner passed away, and a friend tried to care for him… but due to his weight and condition, he needed more help than they were able to give. 💔
Now he’s safe with us — warm, fed, and finally getting the love and care he deserves.
At 11 years old and 37 lbs, he’s the kind of dog who just wants soft places to rest, gentle hands, and someone who will make his final chapter a comfortable, loved one. Seniors are truly treasures — they don’t ask for much, and they give so much back.
He’s calm, quiet, and unbelievably sweet. The kind of dog who melts into you with gratitude. 🤍
✨ Senior dogs deserve homes, too.
If you’ve ever considered opening your heart to an older companion, this boy is waiting.

More about this shelter
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
