My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Franklin has had a rough start in life but you would never know it when you meet him - this boy is always happy and bouncy! He was turned into our local shelter as a stray in January 2025 and had parvo. He got adopted and in June, was brought into a local veterinary hospital extremely sick, he couldn't even hold up his head. His family abandoned him but his doctor saw how special he was and she nursed him back to the healthy, happy boy he is today. Franklin loves toys, walks pretty well on a leash and has the cutest bounce in his step that makes you smile. He is a true mix of several breeds, we are guessing Pittie and something keeping him short and long like a Bassett Hound but this is purely a guess. Franklin is approximately 18 months old and 40 lbs. Please send in an application at www.waggingtailsrescue.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application, once received you will be called within 48 hours to answer any questions and schedule a time to meet the dog that you are interested in. If it feels like a match at that time then the adoption is completed with a contract, an adoption fee is paid (ranging from $150-$400) and you receive all medical records with your new dog. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.
