Georgia is a sensitive, gentle girl who just needs a little time to feel safe when things change. New environments and busy settings can be stressful for her, which is why she’s separated from her brother during adoption events. Once she’s back in a calm, familiar space and has a chance to reset, her true personality shines.
At her foster home, Georgia is affectionate and loving with both her humans and her brother, Leonardo. She is closely bonded with him and enjoys playing, lounging, and seeking comfort together. When she feels secure, Georgia happily seeks out attention and will tap your elbow to ask for an invitation into your lap.
Georgia may take a bit of time to adjust to new surroundings, but patience is well rewarded. With a calm, predictable routine, she blossoms into a sweet companion who enjoys gentle affection and closeness. She would do best in an adult-only home or a quiet household that can respect her sensitive nature. She is respectful of other adult cats and does best in peaceful environments.
Because of her close bond with Leonardo, Georgia will need to be adopted with him, or into a home that already has another friendly, calm cat. With time, patience, and love, Georgia will be a devoted and affectionate companion.

Go meet their pets
Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.
Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.
We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.
Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

More about this rescue
Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.
Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.
Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.
About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.
