My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Boone — Your High-Energy, Lilac-Brindle Frat Boy!
Hey everyone, I’m 2.5 years old and my name is, Boone the firecracker! I joined the Freedom Squad from Riverside County Shelter after they asked for help because of my eye situation. Turns out I had this crazy dermoid mass growing on and inside my eye — with actual hair follicles in it! Yeah, wild, right?
Personality/Energy:
I’ve got energy for days. When I come out of the crate, I don’t walk — I launch like the 4th of July. (Apparently, I can almost soar over three-foot gates.) My foster mom says I’ve got “serious bounce, like Michael Jordan.” 2…3…BABY!! Idk she is nuts for us frenchies or Whatever you call us, I’m fast, athletic, and love attention — maybe a little too much!......
Medical Journey:
The awesome Freedom Frenchie team got my eye all fixed up with surgery, and they stitched me up real nice. They scrapped the dermoid off my eye BALL with some special razor, the doc was super proud because he ordered them just for my eyeball. Let me tell you he was a bit nervous but he is literally the best freaking vet!!! All the techs were cheering after but I was high so I could have been dreaming. From what I know this surgery is not an easy one. But three days before I was supposed to get those stitches out, I decided that whole “cone life” wasn’t for me. I chewed that thing off, popped a stitch, and boom — back to the vet I went. Two days later, I got another surgery to close it up properly. What can I say? I’m a man of action!
Potty training and manners….
Now about this whole potty-training thing… we’re working on it, I promise. I drink a ton of water, so yeah, sometimes I don’t quite make it in time. My foster mom even caught me peeing right as she opened the crate — I think I was just making a statement because she was taking too long. I know there are others in the house and not everyone can hang out together because some like to start shit but COME ON, you know how much water I drink!!! Anyway, I am leaning patience and now I am the line leader and get to go first! Gold star for me jerks!
I’m heading to a new foster home now (so we will keep my profile updated) with some doggie friends and a rockstar foster mom who’s gonna help me channel all this energy into manners and structure. Because when I finally settle, I crash hard and become the best cuddle bug you could ask for.
I know basic commands, take treats gently, and I’m learning to share toys (even though, let’s be real, I think everything is mine). My eye is still healing, and it’ll always look a little different, but yep — I can totally see out of it!
I’m a lilac brindle powerhouse, built like an athlete, and ready for a forever home that’s active, fun, and full of love. If you’re always on the go, I’m your guy. When you crash, I’ll crash too. It will take a me a bit to transition into a new home with new stupid rules but that’s fine anywhere is better then being a stray!
In true Frenchie fashion, I’m stubborn, hilarious, a little chaotic, and completely unforgettable. So, if you’re looking for a total frat boy with a heart of gold, that’s me — Boone!

Boone is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, his adoption donation fee is $1050.00. He is currently being fostered in Mesa, AZ and you can apply for him at freedomfrenchierescue.org.
