My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kato is a loyal, intelligent, and gentle 8-year-old dog who we adopted 4 years ago from another loving couple. Kato bonds closely with his humans. He is affectionate, mild-mannered, low maintenance, and thrives on one-on-one companionship.

We made the difficult decision to rehome him after an incident where our toddler pulled on him while he was eating. This made us realize that a home without small children would be safest and best for everyone.

Kato is house trained, leash trained, very smart and observant, calm and gentle with adults, excellent about doing his business quickly on walks, and happy with a minimum of two daily walks (AM/PM) and scheduled feedings.

He has mild separation anxiety but does well being left alone once he adjusts to a new environment. He may bark at new people at first, but he isn't aggressive and does not bite.

He loves having a window or balcony for him to look out and observe. We will wait as long as needed for the right match for him.
