My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pomegranate Seed!

This sweetheart is an older girl who came into our care with severe matting and little appetite, however, once she got the medical care she needed, she has truly flourished into a wonderful kitty! She has come such a long way since she arrived - at first she would hide in the corner and hiss/growl at visitors whenever they walked by, but with a lot of love and gentle coaxing, she slowly started warming up to us and is now an avid enjoyer of head scratches and pets. If visitors sit on the floor next to her kennel, sometimes she will want to come out of her oh-so-comfy bed and immediately settle into their lap. Her purrs, once they get going, are quite audible from a distance away!
This sweet girl would do best either in a household with no other animals, or a household with older laid-back cats or (very!) mellow dogs that can respect Pomegranate Seed`s space and energy.

If you are wanting to visit and/or adopt Pomegranate Seed, please swing by during our open hours, Saturday - Wednesday 1PM-5PM! If you are wanting to take her home same-day, please bring a carrier. We are looking forward to seeing her go to a loving, fur-ever home!

If you have any further questions, please contact WCHS staff at (509)-332-3422 or email us at wchs@whitmanpets.org.
