My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cory came to the Goathouse in 2023 as a very shy girl in need of socialization. Under the care of the dedicated staff at the Goathouse, Cory has since made great progress, and we have enjoyed watching her slowly blossom over time. Cory loves treats, and recently she has made big strides in becoming less fearful towards people. With continued patience (and treats!), we have confidence that Cory will continue to come out of her shell. She would do best in a calm home environment with no small children; she gets along well with other cats and wouldn’t mind sharing the home with another easy-going, gentle cat friend.

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
