Meet Dardi 💛
1.) Health Status
• Spayed
• Others: Microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully recovered from giardia.
2.) Rescue Story
* Dardi was staying at the Gimje City Shelter, spending her days alone without anyone to comfort her. No family came forward to adopt her, and during the long Chuseok holiday, the shelter became overcrowded — making it difficult for her to receive the care and affection she needed. Adogs rescued Dardi urgently so she wouldn’t have to spend the holidays in loneliness.
3.) Personality & Characteristics
• With People: Is still unfamiliar with human touch and tends to keep her distance. When petted, she tenses up and cowers slightly, showing nervousness. Needs time and patience to slowly build trust. Although she is fearful, she has a lot of curiosity and likes treats so it seems possible to build a stable relationship with her if you go slowly. When her foster parent suddenly moves or returns home, she gets nervous but relaxes after a bit of time. Recently, she has started sleeping beside her foster parent, relying on them since she was frightened by thunder.
• With Dogs: When people aren’t around, she plays well with other dogs. But when she senses someone nearby, she hides in a corner.
• With Cats: Hasn’t met any cats yet.
• Separation Anxiety: Spends time alone well.
• House Training: Uses potty pads well and doesn’t mark indoors.
* Grooming: She gets nervous when being brushed, but gets through it well when a soft brush is used. Finds baths and drying difficult, running away and even nipping in defence. Has potty accidents when getting nail trims due to extreme fear.
• Walks: Hasn’t been on walks yet, as she is getting socialized and becoming comfortable with her foster parent.
• Car Sickness: Seems a bit uncomfortable but doesn’t have any other symptoms of motion sickness.
• Biting: Bites out of defence during baths and blow drying.
• Barking: Doesn’t bark or whine.
* Likes: Likes treats, such as dog-friendly milk and meat-based treats.
• Dislikes: Feels uncomfortable with touch, and gets really surprised with sudden noise. Becomes really scared when being lifted up.

Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
