With a name like Spotz, you can probably guess her signature look — this 8-month-old Pit Bull mix is decked out in the cutest cow-like spots you’ve ever seen! But her markings aren’t the only thing that makes her special — Spotz is bursting with love, energy, and a zest for life that’s absolutely contagious. Spotz is the definition of “happy-go-lucky.” She’s affectionate, playful, and always ready for a good time — whether that’s zooming around the yard, playing with toys, or soaking up belly rubs. All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
