What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jelly Bean is a year old black lab mix and weighs about 60 lbs (the vet said she will be 70 when she is fully grown). She is completely potty trained and wonderfully crate trained, she also knows basic commands and is a whizz at fetch! She is good with cats and would get along well sharing a home with another dog, but she is a bit anxious and reactive so introductions to other dogs must be done slowly. She has limited experience with children, but she has been good with those she has met- though we recommend her going to a home with no children under five years old because of her size and energy. A fenced yard is a must and is non negotiable.
Jelly bean has some reactivity issues surrounding other dogs. She has never been aggressive, but does bark her head off at them if she sees them on a walk. We would prefer her to go to a home in a quieter part of town to minimize her stress.
Her ideal home is one with a big, fenced backyard and someone who will throw a ball for her for hours.
