If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jonah is a very sweet and affectionate boy. Unfortunately, since my husband and I moved in together, he has not gotten along with the three other cats (I have two and my husband has two). We are heartbroken, but as the situation has only gotten worse over the past year and none of our friends or family can take him, we are out of options.
At 12 years old, Jonah is a senior cat and while he does not seem old, we do think he might have a touch of dementia. He will sometimes cry for no apparent reason and occasionally does not seem to groom himself as well as he used to.
He would do best in a quiet home with no other pets and no children. Ideally, we would like him to be with one individual or a couple in a calm setting. He can be skittish and does not like loud people or noises.
This said, once he warms up he's the sweetest boy and loves to be near you or lie on your lap or on your feet.
He just needs a quiet, loving home with someone who will look after him and love him like we do.
