My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our amazing Amelia is a super playful, high-energy girl. She was one of the first kittens to come in during a large colony management project and is an estimated 10-11 months of age. Amelia LOVES to play. She does like to be around people and can easily be picked up. But Amelia is not too interested in long snuggling sessions - she would much rather play!

Amelia has a very strong prey drive - as displayed through her style of play with her toys. She is so much fun to watch as she races around! When she is done playing, Amelia loves perching on the cat tree and watching the birds through the window. Amelia would do well in a home where there were other animals to play with - perhaps another kitty or a respectful dog. She loves being around people but is not a ”lap cat". She’s an independent girl who just loves to have fun!

Amelia has been spayed, vaccinated (FVRCP plus rabies), treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped, and screened for FIV / FeLV (negative results).

If you are looking to bring some joy and energy into your home, please make an appointment to meet our Amelia: info@catsofsaltspring.com / 236-508-2287.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our cats and kittens are housed in foster homes on Salt Spring Island and Vancouver Island. Once we have approved an application and completed a telephone interview with an applicant, we set a meeting in the appropriate foster home.

We also hold adoption events to feature our adoptable cats and kittens both in Victoria (at Capital Cat Clinic) and on Salt Spring Island (at Whiskers Pet Store and Foxglove Farm and Garden Centre).
