My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chopper is in a foster home searching for his forever family! If you are interested in meeting him, copy, paste, and complete the link below. This will be sent to the foster family for follow-up: https://greenvillefosterteam.tiny.us/meetyourmatch
. You can also call or text the Lifesaving Team at 864-467-3985.

Chopper is a big, goofy, confident love bug who brings laughs everywhere he goes. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and both food- and praise-motivated. Inside, he’s attentive, cuddly, and happy to smother you with over 70 pounds of affection. Outside, his curiosity takes over and he’s ready to explore the world. He is friendly with everyone he meets, thrives on attention, and has the sweetest, happiest personality. Chopper is still learning leash skills and doesn’t yet realize how strong he is, but with the right handler, he has incredible potential.

—Best suited for: House with a yard
—Training: Fully housetrained; knows sit, down, stay, shake, and come; learning new tricks quickly
—Alone time: 0–1 hours; mildly anxious at first (scratches/whines), settles if another person is home
—Leash manners: Very strong puller on a regular leash; walks great on a gentle leader or with proper leash positioning
—Energy level: Medium; enjoys activity but settles well
—Personality: Adventurous, affectionate, athletic, clever, confident, curious, enthusiastic, extroverted, goofy, snuggly, playful, quirky
—Favorite activities: Playing with his people, going for walks, cuddling on the couch or in bed
—Fun facts: Makes hilarious human-like sounds, hops like a bouncy puppy, fearless with new sights and sounds, extremely funny and charismatic
—Dog interactions: has had positive interactions with dogs in the foster home, eager to play; pulls hard on leash to greet would do best with larger dogs as he is large and very playful.
—Cat interactions: has
also become more acquainted with the cats. He passes by them in their bed, curious but not
fixated.

Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, and spay/neuter.
