Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Quarter Pounder with Cheese aka Cheesy.
Cheesy spent his early life surviving on the streets, charming a kind woman who fed him and helped him get the rescue he deserved. Now he’s all fixed up, healed, and ready to trade in alley life for the soft, spoiled life of a housecat. He may have a few battle scars from his rough past (including an amputated toe!), but they just add to his tough-guy charm.
Cheesy is FIV positive — which simply means his immune system is a little weaker than average. With a healthy diet, regular vet care, and a stress-free indoor life, FIV+ cats can live just as long and happy as any other kitty. FIV spreads only through deep bite wounds, not through playing, sharing food or water, grooming, or snuggling — so he can safely live with other friendly cats.
Despite his street-cat beginnings, Cheesy is a total sweetheart. He’ll follow you from room to room and rub against your legs to request pets. Ignore him, and he’ll reach out with a big paw to gently remind you that it’s time to pay the pet tax. His low, steady purr starts up the instant you scratch his cheeks or the sweet spot between his shoulder blades.
This big buff boy has adjusted to indoor life like a pro! He loves other cats and needs to have feline friends and he gets lonely without them. You’ll often find him playing chase, getting the zoomies, or battling a wand toy like a champ. He’s also a master of solo play and a gentle giant with other cats — never aggressive, always the first to back down if there’s drama.
Cheesy has discovered the joy of laps (though you’ll need a big one to fit him!) and is slowly learning that short cuddles and being picked up aren’t so bad. He’s also a notorious snack thief so if you’re eating, guard your plate and maybe even your mouth… he’s got fast paws and no shame! Aside from human food, he loves tube treats and canned food.
Underneath his studly good looks and streetwise exterior is a tender, goofy boy who’s just grateful to finally be safe and loved. Cheesy is ready to find his forever family, one that will spoil him, laugh at his antics, and let him live the soft life he always dreamed of.
Cheesy’s order is up — now he just needs a family to bring him home.
Cheesy is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
