Diesel’s story started in a scary place — all alone as a tiny baby, discovered hiding inside a car engine. But the moment he entered his foster home, everything changed. Surrounded by four other kittens, he blossomed instantly into the sweetest, most affectionate little love bug.
From day one, Diesel adored his foster siblings. He played, snuggled, followed them around, and learned quickly that humans are pretty amazing too. What began as a shy little kitten has transformed into a confident, cuddly, vocal sweetheart who melts into affection.

We’re thrilled you’re considering giving one of our cats or kittens a loving forever home! Here’s what to expect during the adoption process:
📋 Adoption Application & Contract
To ensure the best match for both you and our cats, we require:
Adoption Application – Helps us understand your home, motivation for adoption, and expectations as a pet owner.
Adoption Contract – Includes an indoor-only and no declawing clause, as well as a Vet Promissory Note to ensure continued veterinary care and spay/neuter follow-through (if applicable).
🌍 Adoption Area
We do not adopt out of state, except on a case-by-case basis near the North Carolina border.
💸 Adoption Donations
Your donation helps us continue rescuing and caring for cats in need:
Unaltered kittens – a minimum donation of $120.
(Includes vaccine series, deworming, and medical care. Adopter is responsible for spay/neuter and rabies vaccine once age-appropriate. We can recommend low-cost vet services.)
Spayed/Neutered cats – a minimum donation of $140
Bonded pairs – a minimum donation of $200
Career/Barn cats – a minimum donation of $25
🏡 Additional Requirements
Meet & Greet is required to ensure a good match—please bring the whole family!
In some cases, we may require a home inspection or rental verification.

Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.
