Meet Tootsie Roll
Tootsie Roll is ~1.5 years old — short but mighty, and overflowing with heart. She’s a tender soul who can be a little shy at first, needing just a bit of time and reassurance to know she’s safe. But once she does, her whole personality blossoms — and you’ll see just how loving and loyal she truly is.
When she’s comfortable, Tootsie Roll’s joy is contagious. She loves playing with her toys, racing around the yard with her foster brother, and then curling up on the couch for a cozy snuggle. She’s incredibly gentle in everything she does, and she walks beautifully on a leash — happy to stay close to her person’s side.
Tootsie Roll has amazed us with how quickly she learns. She figured out how to use the dog door all on her own just by watching her foster brother — no training needed! She absolutely loves mornings and gets so excited to see her humans. Her favorite way to say good morning is by rubbing her lips and cheeks all over us — it’s her special way of showing affection. And when she plays or eats, she makes the sweetest little piggy noises that always make us laugh. She’s growing in confidence every day and continues to surprise us with her gentle, curious, and loving personality.
We think that Tootsie Roll would thrive in a calm home, especially with another friendly dog who can help her feel confident and show her the ropes. She’s learning every day that the world isn’t so scary, and that love and kindness are all around her.
Tootsie Roll may start out shy, but once she trusts you, she’ll be your truest friend — affectionate, playful and full of love. She’s such a special little dog, ready to find the home where she can finally exhale and know she’s safe, cherished and home for good. â¤ï¸
