This beautiful king just entered foster care and to say he's been surpassing expectations would be an understatement. Young Gerard is adjusting to the home wonderfully, he's getting along really well with the resident large dog in the home and he's also had positive interactions with the 2 small dog residents as well!
Gerard walks together with his large dog foster roommate and they've been really doing well! In the home, he's great about entertaining himself with toys and keeps away from non toy items such as shoes. He's respectful about their stuff!
Gerard definitely has a lot of pep in his step, he loves playtime and just being true to his silly and goofy self. This means he would likely be well suited for a home with older kids who can keep up with a big, funny boy like Gerard!
The crate training is underway, Gerard is making great progress so far in his journey in learning! Overall, he's a sweet, social boy with a silly personality and a handsome face to match!
To meet Gerard, please first submit an adoption application, once received we'll contact you to schedule a meeting!

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
